Model A800P Portable Tiltmeter
The Model 800P Portable Tiltmeter is a versatile and accurate hand-held instrument for monitoring structural and foundation movement. Measurements are taken from tilt plates that have been cemented or bolted to any horizontal or vertical surface. Indexing bars on the bottom and sides of the tiltmeter enable you to reposition it accurately on the tilt plate, every time. When continuous monitoring is not required, Model 800P is an excellent choice because only one tiltmeter is needed to make measurements at an unlimited number of points.
The Portable Tiltmeter System includes one tiltmeter, one power and display unit, and a tough plastic carrying case. Ceramic or Aluminum Tilt plates are purchased separately.

The waterproof and non-corrodible ABS sensor housing also makes the Little Dipper a popular tool for underwater tilt measurements in shallow marine applications. Select analog voltage output (biaxial) or 4-20 mA output (uniaxial only).
Model 84828 Slimline Signal Conditioning Card
The Model 84828 Slimline Signal Conditioning Card is a compact, analog signal conditioner for use with all Jewell Instruments miniature tilt sensors. Each 84828 card operates one 5-pin biaxial tilt sensor or one uniaxial sensor, plus one LM-35 temperature sensor, which may be installed on the circuit board. Model 84828 has one fixed gain and one RC low-pass filter, both of which can be factory-tuned to meet your requirements. This versatile and inexpensive signal conditioner has single-ended voltage output. Tilt output is measured as a ±4 VDC signal (calibrated range is ±2.5VDC). Units are also available with 0-5VDC output. The slim, low-profile design facilitates use in custom instrument packages, robotics, ROV pitch/roll control, and more.
Jewell provides factory calibration for all 84828 signal conditioning electronics when ordered with our 84053 and 84064 Ceramic, or Model 755- and 756- miniature tilt sensors.
Model 802 Deep Water Submersible Tiltmeter Series
The Model 802 DeepWater Series is the fully submersible cousin of our Model 801 Tuff Tilt Series. Performance features are the same, but the DeepWater housing is machined from a solid piece of 316 stainless steel and incorporates a high-pressure neoprene connector. The pressure rating is 250 bars (2500 meters depth). Higher-pressure versions may be special ordered. Temperature rating is governed by the neoprene connector. Wider temperature range is available with other connector types. Units are available in a variety of configurations including single axis (uniaxial), or dual-axis (biaxial), analog, digital, or 4-20mA outputs.
Model 750-100 Tiltmeter Series
The 750-100 tiltmeter series is a rugged, high performance, single-axis tilt sensor designed for peak performance in extreme conditions. The fluid damped mechanism delivers superior noise rejection in high shock and vibration environments as well as excellent output stability. Units are available with a 6-pin connector or pin-terminals. Available outputs include 0-5V and 4-20mA. Custom input ranges, filters and temperature compensation are also available on request.

IRIS-SC Digital Signal Conditioning Card
The IRIS-SC digital signal conditioning card is a powerful control device designed for use with all Jewell miniature tilt sensors. Output is ASCII RS-232 or RS-422(485) serial. Standard firmware includes five user-programmable alarm/trigger thresholds for tilts tilt switch/control applications. When a selected threshold is reached, the circuitry sets the output high
on one of the pins in the H3 control connector. Other firmware features include user-programmable data output rates, sample averaging, autozero (nulling), and baud rate. The IRIS-SC can also log up to 22,000 samples to internal memory for data dump/download on user command.
All IRIS-SC units include calibration when ordered with Jewell miniature tilt sensors (specify calibrated range on order).
Model ASG-3000-HT Asphalt Strain Gauge
Dynamic asphalt strain gauges measure axial strain in the flexible pavement under high frequency (dynamic) conditions. Utilizing four active elements of a Wheatstone bridge circuit, this gage compensates for temperature, rejects bending strain (may also be configured to measure bending and reject axial strains), and compensates for lead resistance providing a sensor that is easily
adaptable to most data acquisition systems without requiring additional signal conditioning.
This low-modulus, ruggedized sensor is built to withstand the high temperature and vibratory rolled compaction required for asphalt placement. Each sensor is individually calibrated and supplied with fabrication Quality-Control documentation.
