ECS eCompass Series
The ECS digital compass represents the state-of-the-art in magnetic compassing. It combines a precision 3-axis solid-state magnetometer and a rugged 2-axis electrolytic tilt sensor to provide accurate heading and tilt measurements over a wide range of environmental conditions. The firmware and signal processing algorithms have been refined and improved over three prior generations of compasses to deliver the ultimate in performance from the available sensor data.

As an enhanced version of our ECG Series, the ECV includes a full suite of precision, 3-axis, MEMS sensors, and an optional dual-axis electrolytic tilt sensor, for the ultimate in near-level accuracy. A high-performance microcontroller orchestrates the fast measurement sequence, sensor calibration adjustments, frame-of-reference translations, trigonometric calculations, and advanced signal processing required to provide accurate heading, pitch, and roll outputs.
Modutec 1000 Series Digital Panel Meters
The Modutec 1000 takes the guesswork out of reading a small, low-cost, digital panel meter. These meters have an over-range indication of the rated value and auto-zero when there is no input signal. They also feature auto polarity which visually clues the user to a negative reading.
The Modutec 1000 features a 0.3-inch digit display in red or green for hard-to-read applications. Choose from bezel or window mount snap-on bezel – neither of which need extra hardware or panel holes. At 1.34″ x 0.75″ and panel depth less than 0.8″ these meters are easy to read, small units that fit into almost any application.
Model A601-2A/2B High-precision Platform Tiltmeter
The model A601-2 Platform mount tiltmeter is designed for high precision tilt measurements. Units come with built-in micrometer leveling legs, for easy installation on any horizontal surface. The A601-2 also includes two switchable gains and two low-pass filter settings. Using an absolute gravity-referenced electrolytic sensor, the A601-2 delivers ultra-high sensitivity to <25 nrad with virtually zero long-term drift. Output is a stable ±8 DC voltage (±16 VDC differential). Rugged, reliable, and extremely accurate, the A601-2 is the preferred choice for volcano monitoring, high-precision geotechnical engineering, bridge deflection monitoring, precision metrology, radar platform leveling, and high-accuracy tilt monitoring applications worldwide.
DMH Digital MEMS Inclinometer Series
The Jewell Instruments model DMH is a high precision MEMS inclinometer. Units are available with RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 and UART TTL options. All DMH series inclinometers are rated IP67 for waterproofing up to 1m. Custom ranges and output types are also available on request.
Model 801 “Tuff Tilt” Tiltmeter Series
The Model 801 “Tuff Tilt” Tiltmeter series combines high precision and durability in an economical instrument package. Using an absolute gravity referenced electrolytic sensor, the 801 series delivers superior measurement accuracy with virtually no long-term drift. Units are available in a variety of configurations including single axis (uniaxial), or dual axis (biaxial), analog, digital, or 4-20mA outputs.
All units are rated IP65 waterproof for advanced protection from the elements.
Emico Series 802
Series 802 are very small, low-cost, uncalibrated devices for indicating on-off conditions or voltage transition points. They are rugged, dependable, and require less than 2mW to move the flag or pointer. The two types are:
Flag Type (802F) – A white flag moves from one end of the red & white scale to the other when a predetermined voltage value is exceeded. Provides on-off indication.
Pointer Type (802P) – A pointer moves across the scale to indicate circuit condition. The pointer may be factory set for left, right, or exact center position to indicate zero current. The center point can be specified for a given voltage (±5%) within the range of the device.
Either type can be made to operate with a Zener diode to indicate voltage changes as low as 1 volt.
LCF-196 Dual-Axis Analog Inclinometer
The Jewell LCF-196 Series is a high accuracy sensor designed for applications where high levels of shock and vibration are present. The LCF-196 is two-axis tilt sensor in a 22mm diameter stainless steel package. Rugged, dual-axis, fluid-damped tubular style sensor.
LSRP Single-Axis Analog Inclinometer
The Jewell LSRP Series inclinometer is an extremely sensitive, rugged transducer designed to provide horizontal angle or vertical deviation measurements with virtually infinite resolution. These fluid-damped compact, cylindrical-shaped sensors are stackable to meet the needs of applications with space constraints while facilitating the use of several inclinometers for multi-axis measurements.
